The Emptiness Within...
Haunted by memories of what could have been
Of a love shared, a life spared and dreams we could have seen
Destiny will drag you along, kicking and screaming
With little care, for love and laughter and foolish dreaming
the paths we walk, have been marked and laid
and walk we must, for our penance must be paid
scars of love will torment you, through thick and thin
for in the end, nothing will rid you of the emptiness within.
